Who we are
Macco Organiques, s.r.o. Czech Republic is a leading producer and supplier of mineral salts for IV and dialysis solutions, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, infant formulas, nutritional supplements, veterinarian preparations, mineralised and bottled water and for personal care.
Since being established in 1976, Macco has experienced steady growth and today is a company that enjoys state of the art production facilities.
We predominantly produce calcium chloride dihydrate, magnesium chloride hexahydrate, magnesium sulfate dried and heptahydrate, zinc sulfate x-hydrate, ammonium sulfate, sodium sulfate anhydrous and decahydrate, potassium chloride, potassium sulfate and potassium nitrate. Since 2023, Macco Organiques has expanded its production portfolio to include glycerophosphates, citrates, gluconates and lactates of sodium, calcium and magnesium.

Macco Organiques is a part of the Canadian private company Lallemand found at the end of the 19th century, specialising in the development, manufacture and marketing of yeast and bacteria.
Our mission is to deliver products truly reflecting the quality, efficiency, dedication, enthusiasm and professionalism of the people that work for Macco Organiques.
Our vision is to continue pushing the borders of innovation to bring sustainable growth within the market whilst respecting our customers, our suppliers, our regulators and our competitors alike.
Company History
The Macco Organiques s.r.o. Czech plant has been operating since the early 1970’s (albeit under different ownership) and during this time not only experienced exceptional commercial growth but introduced new and innovative products into the market. In 2004 Macco Organiques Inc. Canada, acquired the entire Czech production plant thereby creating a truly multinational, multicultural, multifaceted company well equipped for long term sustainability and development.
Along the way there have been several landmark events that further evidence the strong foundations on which Macco Organiques s.r.o. is built, indeed some employees and associates have been with us all the way, testament to how we value our people.
The Bruntal Plant - Landmark Events:
1976
The production plant was established for the treatment of Cu-Pb-Zn concentrate to produce Zinc salts.
1990
Production of Tungsten compounds commenced.
1991
Production extended to pharmaceutical grade Magnesium Chloride Hexahydrate.
1996
Production extended to pharmaceutical grade Calcium Chloride Dihydrate.
2000
The Bruntal plant was awarded ISO 9001 and GMP Q7 certification and the company became an integral part of the Osram group.
2004
Acquirement of Fine Chemicals division of Osram Bruntal by the Canadian company Macco Organiques.
2010
Build-up of a new multipurpose line for production of other sulphates and chlorides for pharmaceutical and nutrition markets.
2012
Certification FSSC 22000.
2018
Macco acquired the French company ISALTIS (Givaudan-Lavirotte and Bernardy plants).
2023
Launch of production lines for glycerophosphates, lactates, gluconates, citrates under GMP Q7.
